Thekkady is a scanty town hood which is at the gateway of the world renowned - Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary or Periyar Tiger Reserve -one of the few safe havens for the majestic & Endangered Indian tigers & other endangered species.
It’s a matter of great pride for we native people to lend our tiny tits ‘n’ bits to conserve the Nature & it’s deprecating Wildlife, these marvelous beings & also to contribute earnestly to sustain it's equilibrium!!

We take great pride to say that we were among the few daring people to set our feet over here in Thekkady & open a tiny resort that too a eco-friendly theme resort. This gesture of ours was closely watched & adopted by many a prominent names in the hospitality industry, who set the standards in the Tourism & Hospitality Industry in the present day. They all moved in quick succession & are still moving in. Thanks to all of them, as but for them Thekkady would have never been so popular & never would have attained the stature it presently has. This influx of entrepreneurs have really been instrumental in rising the living standards of people over here., it has generated lots of placements & also have been crucial in development of infrastructure & thus helping people to lead a better life!!

We still uphold our slogan of conserving nature that's why we were the first to come-up with the concept of ECO -FRIENDLY " Theme Resort. using the commonly found Elephant grass for our thatched roof tops simultaneously creating awareness amongst the Aboriginal Tribe., the indigenous dwellers called the Mannans here in Thekkady people of this region & help them to lead a better way of life.,,

Thanks to the Dam for providing such a serene & secluded hinterland for the fast deteriorating Flora 'n' Fauna. There is no other place elsewhere where wildlife & game-viewing is so safe thanks once again to the workmanship of the men behind the making of the Dam which resulted in the advent of the Lake-Periyar.
The remnants of the trees which perished long ago provides an ideal perching place for the vivid & vibrant bird-life. We (leelapankaj@yahoo.com) also got fascinated to the immense energy & vibrancy of this Divine place-Thekkady to it’s fascination & vibrancy.
It really paints a vivid & gorgeous picture in every visitors head ‘n’ heart.., the landscape really suits to the sleepy township of Thekkady & it’s a picturesque example of how the past ‘n’ present exists in cohesion & Harmony. It also provides livelihood to the indigenous people who have existed here for ages-the Mannans.
We were the first to come up with the idea of constructing an Eco-Friendly Resort & we tried it the idea of Thatched Roof with the widely used Elephant Grass in the yesteryears leaving no room for complaints of any sort as we have blended the colourful past with the present sophisticated amenities still stick on to our old modus operandi-which is trying to give more emphasis on making Thekkady a more accessible & affordable Tourist destination.
